remember when the DEA wasn’t going to target local growers in compliance with state medical marijuana laws?

at some point it’d be awesome to see people wake up to what a liar Obama is.

I just got this spam sent to me:

A top Obama fundraiser and hedge fund manager said: “I’m appalled at the anti-Wall Street rhetoric. It was OK on the campaign but now it’s the real world. I’m surprised that Obama is turning out to be so left-wing. He’s a real class warrior.”
I’d care a lot less about stuff like this if progressives didn’t react with such vitriol towards anyone who dares suggest their candidate is very left-wing. I may not agree with your policy choices, but at least I’m honest about what mine are. If you want there to be a real debate about socialism the first thing you have to do is admit what it is you are. You can’t just decide to rebrand yourself, nor can you just ignore the aspects of your policies that contributed to the current situation because it makes you uncomfortable.
Unless you want to argue the world is black & white, but I’m fairly certain that was a big complaint we had about the republicans.
I follow a lot of celebrities on Twitter because I find it truly fascinating. Actors, musicians, porn stars; it all offers an amazing little view into what these people are doing. However there are a lot of famous people I don’t follow, simply because they use Twitter in a way I find truly obnoxious. I’m still a fan of a lot of these people, but I’d like to offer them a bit of advice on how to use Twitter.

I’ve been trying to learn how to use Live, and this was a fun project for playing with remixing. It’s not as good as I’d like, but the weekend is over and I don’t feel like pouring more energy into it.

About 50 percent of at-risk borrowers have a second mortgage, which can make it difficult for them to afford their homes even after payments are cut on their primary mortgages. Second mortgages were popular during the housing boom for buyers who could not afford big down payments.
If you can’t afford to pay $X, why did you think you could afford 2(0.5*$X)? Better question: why are we so concerned with these people? Let them lose their houses, let housing values plunge, and then let responsible people step in and buy up awesome houses for dirt cheap.

Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.) blasted “tea party” protests yesterday, labeling the activities “despicable” and shameful.”

The husband of an Illinois congresswoman pleaded guilty Wednesday to tax violations and bank fraud for writing rubber checks and failing to collect withholding tax from an employee.
Robert Creamer, a political consultant married to four-term U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, could face four years in prison on the two felony counts when he is sentenced Dec. 21.

Incidentally NBC, I’d be much more likely to be exposed to what little comedy there is on SNL these days if you’d just put your videos on YouTube. Duplicating YouTube’s functionality with your semi-functional POS video player is stupid and just prevents people from actually seeing it.
I’m not saying you have to use iTunes, or any apple products at all. But for the love of god could everyone on Windows/Linux at least try to find an mp3 encoder that puts the metadata into the id3 tags? Storing the info in the filename was fine for 1999, but it’s 2009 now. Time to upgradde. The extra ‘d’ is for a double-dose of mp3 action.
Federal prosecutors in Los Angeles are pursuing a 6-month prison term for a Los Angeles man who pleaded guilty in December to one misdemeanor count of uploading pre-release Guns N’ Roses tracks, according to court documents.
Now if you want to argue he should be thrown in prison for distributing that horrible album, then sure go ahead. But going to prison for uploading 9 music files? This makes me feel a whole lot better about the change of guard at the DOJ.
